SILVER AND GOLD JEWELRY CARE
What you SHOULDN'T DO:
Get in contact with moisturizer, body lotions & sunscreen
Scratch against hard surfaces
Store in a humid place like your bathroom
What you SHOULD DO:
Wear your silver - your skin is a natural polisher
Keep away from chemicals
Clean regularly with a silver polish cloth
Store in a jewelry box when not wearing
BRASS JEWELRY CARE
Avoid contact with water and chemicals (bleach, perfume, bug spray, sunscreen, etc). This will cause your brass jewelry to oxidize faster.
Wearing and touching your brass pieces will actually help prevent tarnish. That's because the natural oils/acids from our skin help rub off and delay some tarnish.
When not in use - I cannot stress this enough! - keep your brass jewelry dry and sealed in a plastic baggie. Try to squeeze out as much of the extra air as you can. This tip also applies to any sterling jewelry but is less necessary.
